After 5 played minutes, Realmatismo's Nando Viana shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amadeu de Toledo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Realmatismo reached it. After a rather tough play, Jacuipe FC's Raphael de Amaral got a free kick in the 6th minute. Silas Simões was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Douglas Marinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Paulo de Carvalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu de Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo de Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. Renatinho Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Silas Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo de Carvalho in the 25th minute of play forced Jacuipe FC's goalkeeper Amadeu de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silas Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo de Carvalho in the 32nd minute of play. After 39 played minutes Realmatismo got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Monteiro. In the 46th minute Rubinho Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Marinho was the one to do the kick off. Silas Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo de Carvalho scored 1-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeu de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silas Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Amadeu de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renatinho Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Realmatismo's zone, Renatinho Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silas Simões came out of the goal and Renatinho Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
