But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Massa couldn't finish the play. CAIPIRENSE's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Fernandez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Carlos de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raúl Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Sílvio Luís Moura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raúl Massa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Carlos de Sena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. João Carlos de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Rosado in the 81st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Guarany Futebol Clube defense, Jonas Fernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Carlos de Sena. The Guarany Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Carlos de Sena should have stopped the shot. Guarany Futebol Clube's João Carlos de Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Guarany Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Raúl Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. João Carlos de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded CAIPIRENSE left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guarany Futebol Clube.
