João Leão's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Nuno Penha skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Henrique Peixoto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nuno Penha came out and tried to block the shot, but Henrique Peixoto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 13th minute. Nuno Penha was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marquinhos Campidelis. Golo Golo's Rafa Godoi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Corixo. When João Leão came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Golo Golo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Leão couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Golo Golo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marquinhos Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Corixo's Denílson Veloso got a free kick in the 55th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Corixo's Amauri Torres sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Meirelles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Frank Meirelles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amauri Torres in the 67th minute. Nuno Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Peixoto in the 72nd minute of play forced Corixo's goalkeeper Nuno Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 79 minutes, Kléber do Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corixo and the Golo Golo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Henrique Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Nuno Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Carlos Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, João Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golo Golo's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th match minute, Corixo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Veloso to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Corixo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Golo Golo.
