When Rubens Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spot Clube Restingnse's protests and gave Rubens Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Rubens Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Paulo Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Félix having to interfere. If Benjamim Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glauco Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mauro Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Paulo Azevedo in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Félix prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The supporters of Spot Clube Restingnse booed when Power Guido FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Power Guido FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Lenílson Silveira hit a great ball. In the 56th minute of the match, João Paulo Azevedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mauro Félix saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Power Guido FC's zone, João Paulo Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Félix came out of the goal and João Paulo Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Azevedo in the 64th minute of play. Mauro Félix didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubens Ramos went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Juvenal Fantini scored 1-2 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aírton Cearense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, João Paulo Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Félix. Power Guido FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Paulo Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After 81 minutes of play, Spot Clube Restingnse's Nelson Souto made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Félix was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rubens Ramos got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Spot Clube Restingnse getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Rubens Ramos hit a great ball. If Erasmo Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Spot Clube Restingnse's João Paulo Azevedo in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Power Guido FC's goalie prevented a goal. When the match was over Spot Clube Restingnse could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Power Guido FC throughout the match.
