Jeferson Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kléberson Urbano having to interfere. Raimundo de Souza was extremely unlucky when he, in the 6th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Valdo Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo de Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erivaldo Barral having to make a save. After a rather tough play, TNE F.C's Dedê Tróia got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute, TNE F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Valdo Arce fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind TNE F.C's goalkeeper Erivaldo Barral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute Raimundo de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Erivaldo Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo Arce who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Erivaldo Barral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Raimundo de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo de Souza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erivaldo Barral came out and tried to block the shot, but Raimundo de Souza slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 36th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Valdo Arce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erivaldo Barral. TNE F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdo Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Erivaldo Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo de Souza in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raimundo de Souza was the one to do the kick off. Dito Azevedo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After having played for 52 minutes, Valdo Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sobralia SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdo Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind TNE F.C's goalkeeper Erivaldo Barral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Sobralia SS's Valdo Arce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erivaldo Barral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdo Arce in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erivaldo Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erivaldo Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo de Souza in the 68th minute of play forced TNE F.C's goalkeeper Erivaldo Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erivaldo Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Arce in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Raimundo de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erivaldo Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The TNE F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erivaldo Barral should have stopped the shot. If Valdo Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Marcos Varela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo Barral was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sobralia SS had played much better football throughout.
