An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Rossi in the 16th minute of play forced Ameliopolis's goalkeeper Giovanni Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Maraial AD's Thiago Ortiz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giovanni Reis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fabrício Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Giovanni Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ameliopolis's zone, Fabrício Rossi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Reis came out of the goal and Fabrício Rossi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabrício Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Igor Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nando Quadros having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osmar Rezende to make the kick off. Giovanni Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the game, João Francisco de Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ameliopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maraial AD the free kick. Giovanni Reis didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Nando Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute Igor Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ameliopolis's Osmar Rezende got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 88 minutes, Fabrício Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maraial AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabrício Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maraial AD's Jefferson Braga suffered a concussion after 89 minutes and had to leave the field. Dráusio Marques charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dráusio Marques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, Ameliopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Marques to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Maraial AD getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Thiago Ortiz hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Maraial AD left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ameliopolis.
