In the 26th minute Júlio Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elano Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Atlético Audax-AC's Vicente Peixoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dé Sarmento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Giuseppe Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Audax-AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dé Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elano Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Saldanha in the 40th minute of the match. Dé Sarmento acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fabiano Moraes. In the 45th minute, Oswaldo Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elano Madureira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Dé Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Leme in the 51st minute of play. Oswaldo Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giuseppe Leal struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Dé Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Audax-AC. A collision led to Jaguatirica getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Perivaldo Barral hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, Romeu Leme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Dé Sarmento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Jaguatirica defense, Romeu Leme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dé Sarmento. The Jaguatirica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dé Sarmento should have stopped the shot. Giuseppe Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Sarmento having to interfere. Vicente Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Atlético Audax-AC's Fabiano Moraes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Glauco Cearense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jaguatirica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Audax-AC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Jaguatirica's Glauco Cearense got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 90th minute, Giuseppe Leal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Audax-AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1.
