Normetal EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd minute Narciso Goiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Eugeniusz Lizewski fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Adrianinho Macedo, passed just outside the right post. Normetal EC's Wanderson Fantini quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 42 played minutes Normetal EC got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Bastian. Eusébio Alvarenga came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Gramado's Zeca Paranaense. But to his dismay, Zeca Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugeniusz Lizewski made a kick off. Romário Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugeniusz Lizewski in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrianinho Macedo saved Gramado from getting behind. 73 minutes into the game, Zeca Paranaense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugeniusz Lizewski in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrianinho Macedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Zeca Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee ended the match the Normetal EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
