Marcinho Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses Pernambucano in the 17th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Desemboque FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Pitta came free, but Naldo Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match Cássio Bertassi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcinho Mattos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Afonsinho Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Roncador AD's Marcinho Mattos got control of the ball when Márcio Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Afonsinho Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desemboque FC's Naldo Gonçalves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcos Paraíba's late challenge caught a Roncador AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcos Paraíba helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Desemboque FC's Nestor Vianna got a free kick in the 36th minute. The Desemboque FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naldo Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Washington Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roncador AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Washington Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 64 minutes, Luisinho Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roncador AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
