With his leg Geovani Trigo managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Sportivo Louveira's Alex Marinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Nuno Tróia came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Paysandú2017 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Tróia couldn't finish the play. Perivaldo Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Tróia in the 8th minute of play. Cafu Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Nuno Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Perivaldo Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Christian Soeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sportivo Louveira and the Paysandú2017 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christian Soeiro hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sportivo Louveira getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Oswaldo Ferraz hit a great ball. If Percival Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute of the match Orlando Abreu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Perivaldo Hoffmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Christian Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Percival Faustino in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Perivaldo Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the match, Paysandú2017's goal looked a bit too open when Enio Ortiz came free, but Geovani Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Tróia struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Perivaldo Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paysandú2017. When Paysandú2017's Percival Faustino in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sportivo Louveira's goalie prevented a goal. Nuno Tróia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Perivaldo Hoffmann having to make a save. In the 47th match minute, Sportivo Louveira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno Tróia to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes, Paysandú2017's Orlando Abreu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Perivaldo Hoffmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paysandú2017 reached it. Sportivo Louveira's Alex Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Percival Faustino in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Perivaldo Hoffmann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 61 minutes into the match, Sportivo Louveira's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Tróia came free, but Perivaldo Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Allan Rosado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Christian Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute of the match Zézinho Vander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Perivaldo Hoffmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Zézinho Vander's late challenge caught a Sportivo Louveira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zézinho Vander helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Paysandú2017:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sportivo Louveira:s goal. Alex Mendes placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Nuno Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Peres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Perivaldo Hoffmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Perivaldo Hoffmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percival Faustino in the 96th minute. The Sportivo Louveira fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Paysandú2017 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
