Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Filipe Mattos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 7th minute Filipe Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nildo de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes, Zé Carlos Pimenta made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chora's Christiano Arruda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Christiano Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Chora's Christiano Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Tasso in the 23rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Nildo de Salles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gerson Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 34 minutes of play, Itaguaje FC's Luiz Guilherme Tasso made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christiano Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute, José Maria Sampaio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nildo de Salles, passed just outside the right post. In the 46th match minute, Chora was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Cruz to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Christiano Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Carlos Pimenta in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Guilherme Tasso got free with Christiano Arruda in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Fábio Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Itaguaje FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Moraes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Pimenta in the 58th minute of play forced Chora's goalkeeper Christiano Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Guilherme Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Christiano Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Guilherme Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 72 minutes, Zé Carlos Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaguaje FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christiano Arruda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Guilherme Tasso in the 76th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Itaguaje FC's Luiz Guilherme Tasso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Christiano Arruda. That made the score 0-3 after 76 minutes of play. 82 minutes into the match, Chora's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Tasso came free, but Christiano Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Christian Maia sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Christiano Arruda threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Christian Maia this time. In the 91st minute, Chora's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luiz Guilherme Tasso fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Chora's Christiano Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Chora from getting a goal against them. After 95 minutes of play, Chora's Celso Barbosa made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nildo de Salles was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Itaguaje FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Itaguaje FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
