The supporters of Flamengo Itumbiarense booed when Batistense F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12thth minute of the game Válbson Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batistense F.C.'s Elói Cerezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Flamengo Itumbiarense's goalkeeper Ulysses Palmeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ulysses Palmeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Augusto Hermes in the 20th minute. Batistense F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dedê Paulista in the 22nd minute. Felipe Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulysses Palmeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Cardozo went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Zé Augusto Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Palmeira having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Erik Cardozo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ulysses Palmeira, passed just outside the right post. In the 38th minute, Batistense F.C.'s Erik Cardozo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Zé Augusto Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Palmeira having to interfere. Felipe Damião was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 44th minute. Batistense F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válbson Perez to make the kick off. Ulysses Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Damião in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Augusto Hermes in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses Palmeira saved Flamengo Itumbiarense from getting behind. Zé Augusto Hermes scored 5-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses Palmeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Batistense F.C. getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ademar Pinho hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Flamengo Itumbiarense defense, Rony Dracena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ulysses Palmeira. The Flamengo Itumbiarense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ulysses Palmeira should have stopped the shot. Zé Augusto Hermes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ulysses Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Batistense F.C.'s Erik Cardozo in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rony Dracena scored 8-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ulysses Palmeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ulysses Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Damião in the 95th minute of play. Batistense F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
