In the 56th minute, Alexandre Simão reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Victor Vander. The goal made the score 0-2. After 63 minutes of play, Galaticos's Wilton Prestes made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 95 minutes of play Galaticos's Simão Britto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Campo Bom FC booed when Galaticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Campo Bom FC played a much better game than Galaticos and deserved their victory. The Galaticos players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
