Ademir Guerra was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 11 played minutes Guedes F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Arantes. Henrique Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Samuca Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute José Vítor Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Henrique Schmidt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuca Nogueira was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Oliveira in the 29th minute of play forced Guedes F.C.'s goalkeeper Samuca Nogueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, José Vítor Oliveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guarakessaba SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Guarakessaba SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oscar Carioca fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Henrique Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henrique Schmidt in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuca Nogueira saved Guedes F.C. from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Vítor Oliveira made a kick off. In the 51st minute José Vítor Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guarakessaba SC's Marcelo Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Gustavo Arantes in the 65th minute of play. José Vítor Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Samuca Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guarakessaba SC. Samuca Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The Guedes F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
