After 9 played minutes Itans AD got a freekick which was hit by Doni Dante. In the 15th minute of the match Gildo Jacinto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luizinho Lara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ramiro Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Simões having to interfere. Zé Carlos Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. If Francisco Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Itans AD's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Cabral came free, but Afonsinho Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Clube Deportivo Sogeking's Ramiro Salgado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonsinho Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Salgado in the 37th minute of play forced Itans AD's goalkeeper Afonsinho Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clube Deportivo Sogeking's Luizinho Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival Mandrak in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percival Mandrak to make the kick off. Percival Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Washington Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arthur Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Afonsinho Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arthur Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Clube Deportivo Sogeking's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Ortiz came free, but Luizinho Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Itans AD booed when Clube Deportivo Sogeking was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ramiro Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Clube Deportivo Sogeking fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Salgado couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur Cabral got free with Afonsinho Simões in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arthur Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonsinho Simões read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Percival Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itans AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Percival Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizinho Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Itans AD's Afonsinho Simões got control of the ball when Ramiro Salgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Percival Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Itans AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percival Mandrak couldn't finish the play. Clube Deportivo Sogeking's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
