Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Válbson Vidal in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Corrêa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Corrêa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Paulo Messias in the 10th minute. Gugu de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafinha Bueno in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gugu de Toledo saved Peho FC from getting behind. Rafinha Bueno struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Gugu de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flagoiano FC. Gugu de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Natã Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu de Toledo having to interfere. Zé Paulo Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. José Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Flagoiano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Válbson Vidal fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 41 played minutes Flagoiano FC got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Vieira. After 43 played minutes Peho FC got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Secco. In the 45th minute of the match Severino de Senna sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gugu de Toledo skillfully saved the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 51st minute, Dieguinho Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Válbson Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natã Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gugu de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Zé Paulo Messias came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Peho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Paulo Messias couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Natã Vidal got free with Gugu de Toledo in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafinha Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Gugu de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flagoiano FC's Joaquim Schmidt couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Peho FC. Peho FC's Gugu de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Bueno in the 88th minute of play. Natã Vidal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gugu de Toledo having to make a save. In the 96th minute, Cipriano Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Rafinha Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
