In the 8th minute, Augusto Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Araujo SC booed when SC São Jorge Paulista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademir Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, SC São Jorge Paulista's goalkeeper Aírton Varela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Cabral. Jefferson Pinho was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of SC São Jorge Paulista:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Araujo SC:s goal. Davi Vidal shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Aírton Varela made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Zé Cabral sent off a good shot on target. SC São Jorge Paulista's Aírton Varela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save SC São Jorge Paulista from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, SC São Jorge Paulista's Aírton Varela got control of the ball when Zé Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 26th minute, Gerson Eger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aírton Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Araujo SC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Wilson Miranda hit a great ball. Davi Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Valdemar da Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC São Jorge Paulista. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the match, Wilson Miranda notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of SC São Jorge Paulista's Aírton Varela. Aírton Varela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Araujo SC's Augusto Zanette got a free kick in the 57th minute. Orlando Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Zé Cabral fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araujo SC's protests and gave Zé Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. Zé Cabral hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Zé Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marquinhos Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Valdemar da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar da Costa having to interfere. In the 76th minute Wilson Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marquinhos Passos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdemar da Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Marquinhos Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Araujo SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC São Jorge Paulista for a fine match.
