In the 3rd minute, Balanco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Remo Arantes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Donato Melo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Kléberson Favoretto struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Cristiano Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piacatuba. Cristiano Bittencourt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remo Arantes went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Claudinho Abraão in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristiano Bittencourt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Amílton Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piacatuba's protests and gave Amílton Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Piacatuba getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Amílton Guerra hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Balanco's Zé Augusto Sarmento got a free kick in the 18th minute. Remo Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristiano Bittencourt came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Piacatuba's Claudinho Abraão. But to his dismay, Claudinho Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Cristiano Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glauco Diniz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arí Amaral to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Claudinho Abraão put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cristiano Bittencourt. After a rather tough play, Balanco's Juarês Macedo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Claudinho Abraão took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristiano Bittencourt. Cristiano Bittencourt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 65th minute, Paulinho Paulista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristiano Bittencourt was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Amaral in the 69th minute of play forced Piacatuba's goalkeeper Glauco Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Arí Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balanco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Donato Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Jorge Quadros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Glauco Diniz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Claudinho Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remo Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kléberson Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Cristiano Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
