Gremio de futebol Butiá's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when João Adolfo Quadros scored to the left of an out of position Tibúrcio Trancoso, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Lederer in the 13th minute of play forced Gremio de futebol Butiá's goalkeeper Tibúrcio Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gremio de futebol Butiá's Tibúrcio Trancoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Gremio de futebol Butiá from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Jano Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tibúrcio Trancoso came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by SÓ FAVELA F.C.'s João Adolfo Quadros. But to his dismay, João Adolfo Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 28th minute, João Adolfo Quadros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SÓ FAVELA F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After having played for 30 minutes, Zé Carlos Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SÓ FAVELA F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mazinho Gerber received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tibúrcio Trancoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Mazinho Gerber slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute, Danilo Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Tibúrcio Trancoso. Gremio de futebol Butiá's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 43 minutes, Danilo Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SÓ FAVELA F.C. and the Gremio de futebol Butiá players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute Leopoldo Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlado Karabeg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Adolfo Quadros hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Adolfo Quadros made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Adolfo Quadros in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tibúrcio Trancoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 53rd minute Mazinho Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tibúrcio Trancoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 minutes of play, SÓ FAVELA F.C.'s Mazinho Gerber made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tibúrcio Trancoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gremio de futebol Butiá's Tibúrcio Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Cunha in the 64th minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, SÓ FAVELA F.C.'s João Adolfo Quadros made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tibúrcio Trancoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gremio de futebol Butiá's Tibúrcio Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Gerber in the 70th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Zé Carlos Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tibúrcio Trancoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 11-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Quadros in the 83rd minute of play forced Gremio de futebol Butiá's goalkeeper Tibúrcio Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Gremio de futebol Butiá's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Quadros came free, but Tibúrcio Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Adolfo Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tibúrcio Trancoso having to interfere. After 90 played minutes SÓ FAVELA F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Paiva. SÓ FAVELA F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
