Júlio Lira took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovânio Matorin. Geovânio Matorin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Geovânio Matorin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Fabinho de Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cláudio Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Hidrolina's Antônio Carlos Botelho in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oitis SS's goalie prevented a goal. 59 minutes into the match, Júlio Lira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovânio Matorin. A collision led to Hidrolina getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Luiz Fábio Toledo hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Franklin Pombal made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Cardozo. Hidrolina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The supporters of Oitis SS booed when Hidrolina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute, Afonsinho Trancoso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Oitis SS's Geovânio Matorin didn't even have to move. Oitis SS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
