Clóvis Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Caio Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Parnamirim-RN's Wout Hemeleers got a free kick in the 14th minute. Parnamirim-RN's Erik Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anísio Simões in the 19th minute of play. If Dudu Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anísio Simões in the 28th minute of play forced Parnamirim-RN's goalkeeper Erik Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cascatinha's goalkeeper Caio Mattos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luizão Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Caio Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Parnamirim-RN's Erik Maciel got control of the ball when Oscar Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Dudu Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parnamirim-RN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute Renatinho Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Eliseu Ramos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cascatinha's Caio Mattos. Caio Mattos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Parnamirim-RN booed when Cascatinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Cascatinha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Dudu Senna scored to the left of an out of position Caio Mattos, making the score, 0-2. After having played for 54 minutes, Luizão Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parnamirim-RN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luizão Romero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Senna in the 56th minute of play forced Cascatinha's goalkeeper Caio Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseu Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Luizão Romero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caio Mattos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. A collision led to Parnamirim-RN getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Nilmar Vianna hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Renatinho Braga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cascatinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Erik Maciel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Cavalcante in the 68th minute of the match. Caio Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luizão Romero in the 70th minute. Luizão Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Dudu Senna struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Caio Mattos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parnamirim-RN. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Dudu Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parnamirim-RN's supporters rose to their feet, but Dudu Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caio Mattos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 played minutes Cascatinha got a freekick which was hit by Elano Cavalcante. When the match was over Parnamirim-RN could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cascatinha throughout the match.
