Pedro Luiz Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Morao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Meirelles came free, but Pedro Luiz Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernani Soeiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Pedro Luiz Messias skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 38th minute Amílton Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Azevedo in the 39th minute of play forced Annel AD's goalkeeper Natã Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernani Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Pedro Luiz Messias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Annel AD. Pedro Luiz Messias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

If Juan Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Morao EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Annel AD the free kick. A collision led to Morao EC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Juan Azevedo hit a great ball. Christian Fontes's late challenge caught a Annel AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th minute, Christian Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amílton Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Morao EC's Juan Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ricardo Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Annel AD's Ricardo Meirelles got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Meirelles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luiz Messias was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Morao EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Meirelles came free, but Pedro Luiz Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
