After having played for 20 minutes, Nelsinho Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hellhound's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C.Mutum the free kick. In the 39th minute of the match, Nelsinho Cosme got a very nice opportunity to score, but Egídio Passos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 40 minutes, José Vítor Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the E.C.Mutum and the Hellhound players grew even worse after the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Claudinei Soares made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Simões during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to E.C.Mutum getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Leonardo Simões hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafinha Alvarenga in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Axel Apelqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Inácio da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Apelqvist having to interfere. Rafinha Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Claudinei Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Passos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 91st minute of the match José Vítor Amorim completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave José Vítor Amorim a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the E.C.Mutum players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hellhound.
