The tension between the Carin and the Guarirama players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 4 played minutes Carin got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Leão. Elias de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gilberto Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Guilherme Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Zonta in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Guarirama's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Koehler came free, but Régis Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dino Moreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Elias de Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Régis Veiga. Guarirama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias de Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Régis Veiga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dino Moreira in the 26th minute. Régis Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Faustino, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Luiz Guilherme Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Zonta in the 29th minute of the match. Dino Moreira took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Régis Veiga. Régis Veiga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 34 minutes into the match, Guarirama's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Koehler came free, but Régis Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Costa in the 36th minute of the match. Dino Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilvan Fonseca hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 42 played minutes, Guarirama's Hélder Paiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme Mineiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guarirama reached it. Luiz Guilherme Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Veiga having to interfere.

The wind increased when Gilberto Koehler made the kick off in the second half. Régis Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 57th play minutes Elias de Amorim shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Régis Veiga and just under the crossbar into goal. Naldo Faustino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Régis Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Carin's Gilberto Koehler in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guarirama's goalie prevented a goal. Dino Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Régis Veiga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Geovanni Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Koehler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Carin fully deserved thier win.
