Valério Araújo might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nilton Varela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valério Araújo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute Sabino Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedé Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Parteiro SS's Dedé Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Bittencourt in the 31st minute of play. Parteiro SS's Edvaldo Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Banabuiu SC's Wilson Sarmento got a free kick in the 54th minute. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Válter Lucas took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Dedé Guimarães to make any attempt to save it. When Valério Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Parteiro SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valério Araújo couldn't finish the play. Serafim de Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Dedé Guimarães made a huge save. Parteiro SS's Dedé Guimarães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Parteiro SS from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Parteiro SS's goalkeeper Dedé Guimarães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Soeiro. But to his dismay, Luisão Bittencourt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Dedé Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válter Lucas in the 88th minute of the match. Parteiro SS's Dedé Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Cardoso in the 94th minute of play. Dedé Guimarães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adelino Soeiro in the 96th minute. The Parteiro SS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Banabuiu SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
