The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Moisés Amorim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Toscano was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. 5 minutes into the match, Caloji SS's Moisés Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sílvio Toscano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cícero Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Sergipano got free with Cícero Martins in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caloji SS's Moisés Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Loisiania SS getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Emanuel Sergipano hit a great ball. Loisiania SS's Jeferson Arantes pulled a muscle in his back after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Tiago Gabriel das Neves hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Sílvio Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Amorim in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Loisiania SS getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Amílton Porto hit a great ball. Cícero Martins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emanuel Sergipano in the 43rd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Ulysses Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loisiania SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulysses Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Pedro Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Pedro Leme made a kick off. Valdomiro Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Sílvio Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loisiania SS's Sílvio Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Loisiania SS from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Caloji SS booed when Loisiania SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sydney Pirani was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 74 minutes of play, Caloji SS's Moisés Amorim made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Toscano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Loisiania SS's Sílvio Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Loisiania SS from getting a goal against them. When Caloji SS's Zé Pedro Leme in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Loisiania SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Moisés Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Caloji SS played a much better game than Loisiania SS and deserved their victory. The Loisiania SS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
