In the 24th match minute, BRAZINHO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor Maciel to maneuver through the defense. Magno Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Almeida having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Vieira in the 31st minute of play forced BRAZINHO FC's goalkeeper Jörgen Lekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Douglas Coutinho in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörgen Lekberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Magno Oliveira was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Patu booed when BRAZINHO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Coutinho to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Douglas Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 53 minutes into the match, Manoel Vieira notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of BRAZINHO FC's Jörgen Lekberg. Jörgen Lekberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Manoel Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. Jörgen Lekberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Douglas Coutinho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 80th minute. Patu's Douglas Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardo Mesquita charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Mesquita the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Bernardo Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Genílson Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jörgen Lekberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Patu eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
