The audience was convinced that Anísio Novaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chicão Mazza was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Jânio Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Toscano in the 52nd minute of play. After 56 minutes of play, Valdelandia EC's César Toscano made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jânio Chaves was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 59th minute, Doni Vasconcelos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valdelandia EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0.
