Márcio da Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalmo Branco in the 11th minute. When Haroldo Bezerra came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Cerro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Bezerra couldn't finish the play. After 15 minutes of play, Cerro's Abelardo Carvalho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Fernando Vergílio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Garland Eddy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Vergílio having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Cerro got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Paraíba. Abelardo Carvalho took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Fernando Vergílio. Carlos Fernando Vergílio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Cerro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Dalmo Branco scored to the left of an out of position Márcio da Silveira, making the score, 1-3. 31 minutes into the game, Cícero Gaúcho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ŧυямα đα мøиι¢α נøvєм's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerro the free kick. A collision led to ŧυямα đα мøиι¢α נøvєм getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Cícero Gaúcho hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Carvalho in the 37th minute of play forced ŧυямα đα мøиι¢α נøvєм's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Vergílio having to interfere. Abelardo Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Carlos Fernando Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerro. In the 45th minute Abelardo Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

In the 51st minute, Garland Eddy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Bezerra in the 53rd minute of play forced ŧυямα đα мøиι¢α נøvєм's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Fernando Vergílio was a little too slow when Filipe Vasconcelos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 1-4. A collision led to ŧυямα đα мøиι¢α נøvєм getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Valdo Baiano hit a great ball. If Haroldo Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garland Eddy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cerro's Garland Eddy got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Branco in the 73rd minute of play forced Cerro's goalkeeper Márcio da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute of the match Rafinha Mendes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Márcio da Silveira skillfully saved the ball. Abelardo Carvalho did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Carlos Fernando Vergílio 80 minutes into the match. Nelsinho Paraíba hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Carlos Fernando Vergílio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moritz Schelp went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. The ŧυямα đα мøиι¢α נøvєм fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cerro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
