Eugênio Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Eduardo Britto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eugênio Batista in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 20 minutes, Zé Paes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brenha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Paes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olívio Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paes in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Luiz Eduardo Alagoano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olívio Carneiro. Forninho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Eduardo Alagoano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luiz Eduardo Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brenha's goalkeeper Eduardo Britto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Zé Luz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forninho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.

Brenha's Eduardo Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugênio Batista in the 58th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brenha players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Forninho.
