MORDOMIA's Mikhail Mikhailov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save MORDOMIA from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Araujos defense, Kauã do Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ademir Pombal. The Araujos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ademir Pombal should have stopped the shot. Nestor Donatello made in the 17th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Basílio de Sousa however managed to control. 18 minutes into the game, one of MORDOMIA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Araujos's Nestor Donatello got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Mikhail Mikhailov. Mikhail Mikhailov made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Basílio de Sousa sent off a good shot on target. Araujos's Ademir Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã do Nascimento in the 38th minute of play. Ademir Pombal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauã do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Basílio de Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mikhail Mikhailov was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raí Cabral made a kick off. Araujos's Raí Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mikhail Mikhailov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio de Sousa in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match Elano de Alcântara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikhail Mikhailov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Araujos's goal looked a bit too open when Kauã do Nascimento came free, but Ademir Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Custódio Tande charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Custódio Tande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ademir Pombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Cunha in the 67th minute. Adriano Correia might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ademir Pombal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adriano Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. Araujos's Ademir Pombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Araujos from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 79 in the game by Kauã do Nascimento from a close distance when the talented Ademir Pombal managed to make a qualified save. Araujos's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in MORDOMIA's zone, Basílio de Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikhail Mikhailov came out of the goal and Basílio de Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If João Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 minutes of play, Araujos's Basílio de Sousa made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mikhail Mikhailov was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Araujos were victorious despite being under pressure from MORDOMIA for much of the match.
