Spectators: 7020 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dé Barral kicked off to start the match. Joaquim Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 7 minutes into the match, Snatch Club's goal looked a bit too open when William Veloso came free, but Joaquim Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Snatch Club's Joaquim Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Costa in the 11th minute of play. After 13 minutes of play, Varzeao EC's Túlio Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquim Leal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling William Veloso in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquim Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Snatch Club's Dé Barral got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Túlio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, William Veloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Varzeao EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 30th minute William Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Varzeao EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nilmar Pena in the 38th minute. Guilherme Simão was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 40th minute, William Veloso made a precise shot to the right of Joaquim Leal. Snatch Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Joaquim Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Túlio Costa in the 43rd minute of play. Túlio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Leal having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and William Veloso made a kick off. Anísio da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Leal having to interfere. Snatch Club's goalkeeper couldn't reach when William Veloso 65 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. Guilherme Simão's late challenge caught a Snatch Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guilherme Simão helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Snatch Club booed when Varzeao EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Varzeao EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 80th minute, Túlio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Varzeao EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. After 87 played minutes Varzeao EC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Souza. If Túlio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Túlio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When William Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Varzeao EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Veloso couldn't finish the play. William Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
