The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dráusio de Andrade came out of the goal and Célio do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Acácio Nascimento notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Adidas Fc's Dráusio de Andrade. Dráusio de Andrade was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 10 minutes into the game, Célio do Nascimento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dráusio de Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gilberto Mazza's late challenge caught a Adidas Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Mazza helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulão Reis in the 29th minute of play forced Adidas Fc's goalkeeper Dráusio de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulysses Amorim took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dráusio de Andrade. Adidas Fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dráusio de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Célio do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. Adelino Sarmento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Berger having to make a save. In the 47th minute, Gustavo Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

After a defensive mix-up in Educa Facção Esporte Club's zone, Belmiro Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Berger came out of the goal and Belmiro Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulão Reis during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Paulão Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Belmiro Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Alagoano scored 1-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Berger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulão Reis got free with Dráusio de Andrade in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the game, Adidas Fc's Gustavo Alagoano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Berger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. If Paulão Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio do Nascimento in the 82nd minute of play forced Adidas Fc's goalkeeper Dráusio de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adelino Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Pedro Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute Célio do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio do Nascimento in the 94th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Educa Facção Esporte Club walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
