But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Lira couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandro Lira made a kick off. Itaperarama's João Paulo Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Proença in the 54th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Itaperarama's Luiz de Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dagoberto Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tiago Gabriel Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Paulo Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cassual SS's Dagoberto Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Negri in the 74th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Enio Proença notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Itaperarama's João Paulo Arósio. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enio Proença in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Paulo Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the match, Itaperarama's goal looked a bit too open when Enio Proença came free, but João Paulo Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Tiago Gabriel Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Negri in the 92nd minute of play forced Cassual SS's goalkeeper Dagoberto Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute Enio Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Cassual SS's goalkeeper Dagoberto Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz de Amaral. Cassual SS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
