When Danilo Freire came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the AE Velo Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Freire couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes in the game, Danilo Freire fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gildo Pires having to interfere. The supporters of Hamburgberg booed when AE Velo Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes Hamburgberg got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Baptista. If Cristian Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Hamburgberg getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Geraldo Madureira hit a great ball. When AE Velo Clube's Cristian Sergipano in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hamburgberg's goalie prevented a goal. 22 minutes into the game, Geraldo Madureira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geraldo Madureira hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Cristian Sergipano notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hamburgberg's Gildo Pires. Gildo Pires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Danilo Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gildo Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cristian Sergipano came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the AE Velo Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sergipano couldn't finish the play. Danilo Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hamburgberg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! In the 44th minute, Aníbal Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Danilo Freire fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gildo Pires, passed just outside the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Baptista in the 53rd minute of play forced AE Velo Clube's goalkeeper Laércio Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gildo Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sergipano went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Gildo Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sergipano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danilo Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gildo Pires having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Cristian Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. AE Velo Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gildo Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gildo Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Freire in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Cristian Sergipano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Danilo Freire came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the AE Velo Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Freire couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gildo Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Horácio Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 84 played minutes Hamburgberg got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Baptista. Danilo Freire took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gildo Pires. Gildo Pires dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Danilo Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gildo Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute Cristian Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gildo Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AE Velo Clube fully deserved thier win.
