Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Guilherme Vergílio in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramiro Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonsinho Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramiro Berger having to make a save. After 42 played minutes Cometa got a freekick which was hit by Luís Guilherme Vergílio. 44 minutes into the match, Morro Agudo Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Borja came free, but Ramiro Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cometa fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Cometa's Luís Guilherme Vergílio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilson Gomes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ramiro Berger came out of the goal and Afonsinho Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 74 minutes, Luís Guilherme Vergílio made it 0-8 with a short kick to the right side. Morro Agudo Sport Club's Ramiro Berger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute, Luís Guilherme Vergílio made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Berger. Morro Agudo Sport Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. 81 minutes into the game, Juninho Pitta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Morro Agudo Sport Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cometa the free kick. After a rather tough play, Morro Agudo Sport Club's Juninho Pitta got a free kick in the 81st minute. Juninho Pitta hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Rui Dantas, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Ramiro Berger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Macedo in the 86th minute. After some careless play in the Morro Agudo Sport Club defense, Elias Macedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramiro Berger. The Morro Agudo Sport Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Berger should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute, Elias Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonsinho Medeiros took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro Berger. Ramiro Berger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-11. When the match was over Cometa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Morro Agudo Sport Club throughout the match.
