But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danilo Marquez couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Cacauzinho SS's Davi Costa threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Nascimento, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerson Ribeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Cacauzinho SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Medeiros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davi Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ernesto Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Davi Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deivid Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Cacauzinho SS were the better team. Cacauzinho SS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
