Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silvério Arruda started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Santana in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuca da Costa saved Suvakeira FC from getting behind. Tarcisio Pombal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Paulo Alves in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Walmir Cerezo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tarcisio Pombal. The goal made the score 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Rosa's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Cabral came free, but Tarcisio Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuca da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito de Lima in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Enéas das Neves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Samuca da Costa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Tarcisio Pombal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 40th minute, Paulo Santana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuca da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Samuca da Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Santana's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Paulo Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Samuca da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Joélson Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute, Rodriguinho Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvério Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Suvakeira FC's Samuca da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Santana in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd play minute Paulo Santana came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Samuca da Costa. 1-2. Paulo Santana struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Samuca da Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosa. Rosa's Tarcisio Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Arruda in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute, Nildo Travassos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Nildo Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Rosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nildo Travassos couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute Silvério Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Samuca da Costa managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Rosa's Paulo Santana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Paulo Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
