Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Saldanha in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão da Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Falcão da Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. When Túlio da Mata fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunk sca's protests and gave Túlio da Mata a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Veloso got free with Amílton Arantes in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, Padilha's Vicente Soeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amílton Arantes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Dunk sca's Emanuel Saldanha got a free kick in the 20th minute. A collision led to Dunk sca getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Beto de Andrade hit a great ball. 1-0 became the score in the 25th minute when Vicente Soeiro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Amílton Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Soeiro in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, Dunk sca's Amílton Arantes got control of the ball when Francisco Veloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 minutes, Vicente Soeiro made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Dunk sca's Amílton Arantes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Soeiro in the 43rd minute of play forced Dunk sca's goalkeeper Amílton Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Falcão da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Mitxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dunk sca's Amílton Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Soeiro in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 57thth minute of the game Aírton Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dunk sca's Amílton Arantes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amílton Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Veloso in the 60th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Gilberto Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67thth minute of the game Aírton Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dunk sca's Amílton Arantes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
