Breno Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jacinto Galvão made a huge save. With a little luck, Evoluçao's Jacinto Galvão got control of the ball when Breno Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Evoluçao's zone, Breno Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Galvão came out of the goal and Breno Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Tinoco during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Paulistania got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Tinoco. Cristian Tinoco scored 1-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacinto Galvão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Barbosa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eugênio Mendes firmly grabbed it by the left post. João Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Paulistania's Raimundo Paranaense got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 73rd match minute, Evoluçao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Brito to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Evoluçao defense, Breno Marques kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacinto Galvão. The Evoluçao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacinto Galvão should have stopped the shot. Dagoberto Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Jacinto Damião was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 81 minutes into the match. Dagoberto Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Mendes having to interfere. When Dagoberto Brito came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Evoluçao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagoberto Brito couldn't finish the play. Dagoberto Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Mendes having to interfere. Naldo Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Paulistania had won after a very even match.
