But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. After 32 minutes, Renato Figueiredo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Araruva SC's Júnior Marquez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Saraiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Júnior Marquez was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The wind increased when Fernandão Queirós made the kick off in the second half. Arapira's Renato Figueiredo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Júnior Marquez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Júnior Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Saraiva in the 58th minute of play. With a little luck, Araruva SC's Júnior Marquez got control of the ball when Noel Tavares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Araruva SC's goalkeeper Júnior Marquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noel Tavares. Arapira's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
