Arapira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredão Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Dumitru Ştercă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Renato Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arapira's protests and gave Renato Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. Gilberto Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 75th minute, Tiaguinho Trancoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tarcisio Pitta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. In the 78th minute, Arapira's Renato Figueiredo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Augusto Trancoso. Carlos Augusto Trancoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renato Figueiredo in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Augusto Trancoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Augusto Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Renato Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arapira's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Augusto Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Pescadores United getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Oswaldo Paulista hit a great ball. Renato Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A long shot from Dumitru Ştercă in the 96th minute of play was well struck, but Carlos Augusto Trancoso made a really good save at the right post. When the match was over Arapira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pescadores United throughout the match.
