Spectators: 6641 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 0) Quatiba SC's Orlando Tande started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Orlando Tande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Silas Tróia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oddvar Uthus was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 6th minute, Silas Tróia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ipomeia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Ipomeia's Claudinho Brito got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlando Tande in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Sampaio saved Ipomeia from getting behind. If Javier Manzano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oddvar Uthus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guga Sampaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Josué Jacinto's late challenge caught a Ipomeia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josué Jacinto helped the player get up and apologised. Josué Jacinto hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Quatiba SC's Oddvar Uthus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Tróia in the 22nd minute of play. Javier Manzano took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga Sampaio. Guga Sampaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Javier Manzano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Tande in the 32nd minute of play forced Ipomeia's goalkeeper Guga Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute of the match César Brasil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guga Sampaio skillfully saved the ball. Claudinho Brito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Oddvar Uthus made a huge save. Orlando Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claudinho Brito hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Orlando Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silas Tróia was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Silas Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipomeia's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Tróia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oddvar Uthus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlando Tande in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Sampaio saved Ipomeia from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Mesquita in the 58th minute of play forced Quatiba SC's goalkeeper Oddvar Uthus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guga Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th match minute, Quatiba SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Hindriks to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match César Brasil sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guga Sampaio skillfully saved the ball. Kaká Mesquita scored 2-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oddvar Uthus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Renato Félix came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Quatiba SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Félix couldn't finish the play. After 86 played minutes Ipomeia got a freekick which was hit by Didi Araújo. Javier Manzano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Orlando Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Guga Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josué Jacinto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Guga Sampaio made a huge save. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Ipomeia were victorious despite being under pressure from Quatiba SC for much of the match.
