In the 11th minute, Roma Football Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bill McDaniel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Roma Football Club's Igor Prata got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Bill McDaniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcinho Araújo's late challenge caught a Mosquito EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mosquito EC booed when Roma Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amílton Koehler scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Freitas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Reynaldo Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bill McDaniel in the 33rd minute of the match. Mosquito EC's Bill McDaniel got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 38 minutes, Amílton Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mosquito EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amílton Koehler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Roma Football Club's goalkeeper Reynaldo Freitas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amílton Koehler. With a little luck, Roma Football Club's Reynaldo Freitas got control of the ball when Amílton Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amílton Koehler succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 57thth minute of the game Amílton Koehler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Roma Football Club's Reynaldo Freitas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Bill McDaniel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mosquito EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bill McDaniel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mosquito EC were furious when Claudinho Mendes was red carded, 63 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Claudinho Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Bill McDaniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Bill McDaniel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mosquito EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Bill McDaniel might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reynaldo Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bill McDaniel ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Roma Football Club's Marcinho Araújo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emerson Castro. That made the score 4-1 after 82 minutes of play. Bill McDaniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Freitas having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Roma Football Club's Marcinho Araújo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emerson Castro. Emerson Castro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-2. Emerson Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz das Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mosquito EC fully deserved thier win.
