Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paranatama's Frank Leme started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Bill McDaniel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mosquito EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bill McDaniel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Mosquito EC's goalkeeper Emerson Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geraldo da Fonseca. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matheus da Cunha during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 7 played minutes Mosquito EC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus da Cunha. Matheus da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Otávio Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílton Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 23rd minute, Paranatama's Matheus Bittencourt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Frank Leme came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Paranatama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Leme couldn't finish the play. Matheus da Cunha got his second yellow card in the match during the 33rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. When Ramón Vinhas fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paranatama's protests and gave Ramón Vinhas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Paranatama getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ramón Vinhas hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Paranatama's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Cosme came free, but Otávio Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Almir Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Frank Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bill McDaniel was the one to do the kick off. Bill McDaniel did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Otávio Borges 53 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Frank Leme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Castro having to interfere. Emerson Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Pirani in the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Frank Leme notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mosquito EC's Emerson Castro. Emerson Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emerson Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Leme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otávio Borges was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Bill McDaniel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bill McDaniel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Emerson Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo da Fonseca in the 75th minute of the match. Emerson Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Pirani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th of the match, Bill McDaniel tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Otávio Borges got in the way and made a wonderful save. Matheus Bittencourt scored 3-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emerson Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emerson Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Pirani in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute Bill McDaniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Geraldo da Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paranatama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Paranatama fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mosquito EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
