Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cláudio Mazza started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When João Carlos Bastos came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Convento EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Carlos Bastos couldn't finish the play. In the 8th minute, Cláudio Mazza made a precise shot to the right of Lauro Severo. Convento EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 11 played minutes, tabajara f c's Válter Palmeira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lauro Severo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in tabajara f c reached it. Edmundo de Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeu Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If João Carlos Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th match minute, tabajara f c was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. Romeu Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Edmundo de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Romeu Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Convento EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeu Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmundo de Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmundo de Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeu Ribeiro in the 31st minute of the match. If João Carlos Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeu Ribeiro to make the kick off. Régis Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo de Lara having to interfere. Lauro Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Bittencourt in the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 60 minutes, Válter Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. tabajara f c's supporters crossed their fingers, but Válter Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Válter Gaúcho got free with Lauro Severo in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 64 minutes into the game, Narciso Bittencourt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lauro Severo. Narciso Bittencourt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Nildo Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Edmundo de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeu Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Ribeiro in the 81st minute of play forced tabajara f c's goalkeeper Edmundo de Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Carlos Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo de Lara having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in tabajara f c's zone, Romeu Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmundo de Lara came out of the goal and Romeu Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Régis Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Bittencourt struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Lauro Severo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for tabajara f c. A collision led to tabajara f c getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Narciso Bittencourt hit a great ball. Convento EC's Lauro Severo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Convento EC from getting a goal against them. 94 minutes into the match, Convento EC's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Bittencourt came free, but Lauro Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmundo de Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeu Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Chants of tabajara f c echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Convento EC had held the ball for most of the match.
