In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cristo Futebol Clube's goalkeeper José Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ernani Tróia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Cristo Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute, Bernardinho Goiano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and GUARAÇA F.C.'s Dimosthenis Katsabis didn't even have to move. Tiaguinho Fontes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dimosthenis Katsabis came out and tried to block the shot, but Tiaguinho Fontes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 47th minute.

The wind increased when Charles Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. Ernani Tróia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Gualter Nóbrega was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. GUARAÇA F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Renan Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Nunes having to interfere. Ernani Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but José Nunes made a huge save. When Yan Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the GUARAÇA F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan Silveira couldn't finish the play. GUARAÇA F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
