The supporters of Curitybanos EC booed when Rato de Laboratório FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gugu Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agostinho Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fábio Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Emanuel de Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Agostinho Gaúcho having to make a save. If Luís Fábio Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes, Rato de Laboratório FC's Victor de Andrade shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agostinho Gaúcho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rato de Laboratório FC reached it. Agostinho Gaúcho came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rato de Laboratório FC's Luís Fábio Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Luís Fábio Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Emanuel de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Luís Fábio Pinheiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agostinho Gaúcho was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. If Luís Fábio Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio de Godoi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Agostinho Gaúcho. Curitybanos EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Pedro Santana was the one to do the kick off. A well placed Isaltino Linares short distance shot in the 53rd minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Emanuel de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rato de Laboratório FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agostinho Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rato de Laboratório FC's Ulysses Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvinho Senna in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fábio Pinheiro got free with Agostinho Gaúcho in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Luiz Barbosa hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Agostinho Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Rato de Laboratório FC's Luís Fábio Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silvinho Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvinho Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Veloso having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Santana notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Rato de Laboratório FC's Ulysses Veloso. Ulysses Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luís Fábio Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Agostinho Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvinho Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
