With a little luck, Branco FC's Antônio Carlos Silva got control of the ball when Tibúrcio Paiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 87thth minute of the game Tibúrcio Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Branco FC's Antônio Carlos Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nilton Botelho in the 89th minute of play forced Celtic Football Club's goalkeeper Sune Blomquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Celtic Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Vidal came free, but Sune Blomquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Branco FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
