Corey Christensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Perez, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute, Túlio Branco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Macuna FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in GOLDEN BOYS's zone, Túlio Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corey Christensen came out of the goal and Túlio Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Téo Pirani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Macuna FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tibúrcio Araújo. Corey Christensen came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Macuna FC's Túlio Branco. But to his dismay, Túlio Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Téo Pirani's late challenge caught a Macuna FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Téo Pirani helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Macuna FC booed when GOLDEN BOYS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Macuna FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Pontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the game, Celsinho Jacinto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Emanuel Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to GOLDEN BOYS getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Téo Pirani hit a great ball. Corey Christensen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nilson Breckenfeld. A hard shot 61 in the game by Túlio Branco from a close distance when the talented Corey Christensen managed to make a qualified save. GOLDEN BOYS's players were relieved. Emanuel Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Jacinto in the 69th minute of play. Tibúrcio Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tibúrcio Araújo scored 2-2 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Pontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celsinho Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
